Self love pledge

I take the pledge to

  • to learn to love myself the way I am, to radically accept my self and work on changing for the better
  • to fully and unconditionally accept myself
  • to take responsibility for my life: my health, my body, my success, my failures, my happiness
  • take responsibility for ALL my emotions
  • to be determined to work on myself, even on the days when it get’s hard, when I feel like I have no energy or no reason… I will re-read this pledge and remind myself that I am working for MYSELF
  • I need to work on myself not someone else should work on making me better
  • I am responsible for getting better
  • I will be resilient… when life hits me in the face, I will get back, I will bounce back and keep working
  • I will consciously work on accepting myself and learn to get better
  • I will practice practice practice:
    • mindfulness (how to just be in the moment, how to feel the emotions, ride the wave)
    • emotional regulation (feel the emotions, label them, accept them, express them and regulate their expression)
    • assertiveness skills
    • distress tolerance skills
    • gratitude
    • compassion
  • I will learn to accept that sometimes I will screw up… but how else can I practice and learn unless I do. I will keep going

And I will learn to love myself

  • to love myself the way I am
  • to accept that I am not perfect
  • to love my body that way it is
  • to nourish my body and soul, to grow
  • to take care of myself
  • to pamper myself
  • to be grateful for things in my life, every day
  • to be understanding, especially to myself
  • to be compassionate, first of all towards my self
  • to learn from the things I cannot do
  • to focus on the things I can do
  • to accept that some things cannot be changed
  • to focus and work on the things I can change
  • to remember that I can only control myself
  • to be my own friend
  • to believe in myself
